Incorporating Core Energetics with contemporary therapies and, with permission, indigenous practices, students of SSBP's integrative certification program gain a strong foundation from which to organize their approach to clients. The result is as spiritual as it is psychological, opening the client's perception to the greater world around them as well as to their own unique offering which I call "Referencing From the Self".
I love the long days and warm sunshine, the fresh food from the garden and the harvest of herbs from the wilderness. Work-wise things usually slow down a bit in the summer, the monthly Process Group has a two month break so members can enjoy their weekends outside. But other than that things are still going strong here this year. I had 10 calls from perspective new clients and supervisees in June, up quite a bit from last year. I am beginning to think that I might be able to provide some internship opportunities for students from the school in years two and three, won't that be fun!!
Don't worry, there is also an indoor waiting room for the inclement seasons!

What a beautiful month we are having in Seattle. And the calls have already started rolling in at Body-Psychotherapy of Seattle, my private therapy practice. In May I received new calls from 13 people looking for therapy services here. That is great but my practice is really really full! So I CAN'T WAIT for the school to graduate it's first class of students so I have somewhere to refer these folks that specifically want body-oriented, deep change work.
I have extended the application due date to September 10 but I do hope people will apply early. Now I just have to get that application on-line! It will be there soon but if you have any question before it's up please feel free to contact me.
I am so excited to launch the Seattle School of Body-Psychotherapy Web-site and Blog! Please look over the site and leave a comment or question. Meanwhile, I am going to create a page for some articles I wrote in the past. They start out pretty simple but I will gradually add more and the depth and range of information will grow in complexity.
